It’s time for our annual “Back-to-School” sale. Now through September 15th the code GOGIRLS will take 15% off any order + we will donate 15% of proceeds to a globalgiving.org project that funds education for girls. This is a great time time to stock up on your favorite pajama sets!
Last year proceeds went to a project financing higher education for women and girls in Nepal who are survivors of human trafficking. If you would like to learn more about that project and see updates the GlobalGiving page is here.
Two years ago ago proceeds went to help fund an initiative by the Women’s Global Empowerment Fund in Northern Uganda that provides literacy classes for women. Since 2008 the WGEF has helped 750 women learn to read, and this program plays an integral role for women recovering and rebuilding their lives in a post conflict region.
Our Back-to-School sale is always our biggest sale of the year, so thank you for every order you have placed in the past and any you might place this year. I hope you enjoy your new pajamas!
Did you buy a pair of our luxury cotton pajamas or a cashmere robe during the GOGIRLS sale in August & September? If so 20% of the proceeds went to a GlobalGiving project that is helping to finance higher education for women and girls in Nepal who are survivors of human trafficking. Thank you so much for shopping with us then, it was for a very good cause! To learn more about the project or make a donation visit the project page. Happy #GivingTuesday!

In May many customers choose our comfortable cotton pajamas as a Mother’s Day gift, and to say thank you and celebrate mothers everywhere we will be donating 20% off all profits for the month to the Addis Ababa Fistula Hospital & Hamlin College of Midwives in Ethiopia.
The Addis Ababa Fistula Hospital, founded by Drs. Reginald and Catherine Hamlin, provides care for women with childbirth injuries and has done so since 1974. It is located in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia. It is the only hospital of its kind in the world dedicated exclusively to women with obstetric fistula – a condition common in the developing world where the maternal health care is limited. It treats all patients completely free of charge, and is funded entirely by donations.
Eradicated in the “developed” world at the end of the 19th century when caesarean section became widely available, obstetric fistula continues to plague women throughout the developing world. It is estimated that there are 100,000 new fistula cases each year, but the capacity to treat fistula is only around 6,500 per year. The United Nations Population fund (UNFPA) estimates the world’s population of fistula sufferers at more than two million.
If/when we reach the total May sales number from last year our donation will switch from 20% of profits to 100% of profits so please help us get the word out!
Happy International Women’s Day! Thank you to everyone who shopped with us last month, as 10% of total sales were donated to Hamlin Fistula USA, which supports the Hamlin Fistula Hospitals & Hamlin College of Midwives in Ethiopia.
Dr. Catherine Hamlin and her late husband Reginald founded the hospital in 1974 and it is the only medical facility in the world dedicated solely to fistula repair. Now 90, she is still hard at work, and Ethiopia last month nominated Dr. Hamlin for the Nobel Peace Prize.
